Nurturing Your Roses

Our roses are carefully selected for their freshness and beauty, designed to brighten your day and bring joy to any occasion. To help you enjoy their vibrant charm for a longer period, we’ve put together these simple steps to ensure your roses stay fresh and stunning. Follow these guidelines to maximize their lifespan and keep your blooms looking beautiful.

  1. Remove Roses from the Box and Prepare Them

Carefully take the roses out of the box and remove the water capsules from each stem. Gently shake off any excess water before placing the roses in a vase. This initial step is crucial as it allows the roses to breathe and helps maintain their freshness. Choose a clean vase to prevent any bacterial growth that could shorten their lifespan.

  2. Trim the Stems

Every day, use scissors or a cutter to trim about 2 cm off the bottom of each stem at a diagonal angle. This simple act increases the surface area for water absorption and ensures that your roses stay hydrated. A diagonal cut also prevents the stem from sitting flat on the bottom of the vase, which can hinder water uptake.

  3. Fill the Vase with Cold Tap Water

After trimming, fill the vase with tap water, preferably cold. Cold water helps the roses absorb moisture quickly, keeping them hydrated and fresh. Water temperature has direct impact on how fast the bud opens. If it’s hot, it’ll open to cool down faster. Ensure that the water level is sufficient to cover at least half of the stems for optimal hydration. You don’t need to put anything in the water.
Don’t be afraid of dropping some ice cubes in the water.

  4. Change the Water Every 12 Hours

To keep your roses looking their best, change the water every 12 hours. Roses naturally produce acids that can lead to bacterial buildup, which shortens their lifespan. If you notice your roses wilting or losing their vibrancy, change the water more frequently for a quick refresh. This will provide them with a constant supply of fresh water and help restore their beauty. When changing the water, be sure to clean the vase and re-trim the stems to maximize their longevity.

  5. Remove Old Leaves

Regularly check your roses for any wilting or discolored leaves. Gently pull off old leaves that may be submerged in the water, as they can contribute to bacterial growth and decrease the vase’s cleanliness. Keeping the leaves healthy and above the waterline helps maintain a fresh appearance and prolongs the life of your roses.
